The Keychron Low Profile Optical switches are engineered to build an ultimate ultra-slim mechanical keyboard. with the MX-styled stem housing and ultra-low latency the low profile Keychron Optical switches are crafted for typists or gamers who want to type at lightning speed with a lifespan much greater than industry standards.
They are fully compatible with our K3 Wireless Keyboard Optical switch versions only. Keychron Optical switches offer better speed responsiveness and longevity as well. They are available in various colour ranges to suit your various needs. The Keychron Optical Black switches feature a more quiet sound level while still giving you a linear and tactile response with each keystroke making them ideal for either the office or gaming.
Keychron Optical switches have a horizontal infrared light beam shooting across the inside of the switch shaft. The stem of the switch blocks the light beam but when you press a key you push down the stem allowing the light to make a connection across the shaft and actuate the command. The optical switches also actuate at around 1.5mm as opposed to the 2.0-2.3mm actuation of most standard mechanical switches giving you better feedback and responsiveness when pressing a key.
